This app brings the concept of Primary and Supporting instruments to life!
Improve your IFR scanning techniques by performing various flight tasks generated randomly. Learn where to focus your eyes, on which instruments and at what time.
Primary and supporting instrument will be phased in and out of view while your flying various IFR maneuvers.
Ill bet you cant wait to show your instructor what youve learned!

Perfect for working on your scan
This is an awesome app. I have a lot of flight simulators and as a Commercial IFR pilot, this is the one to have to review your scan. Nothing fancy, just good IFR scan principles. I have an IFR review coming up and Im so glad I can use this for my down time to pratice the scan. My only suggestion would be to have the instructions for the app. available , but the creator was very fast in replying to my request for them. Well worth the money !!
Good but laggy
Good concept but the motion of the attitude indicator is too jumpy. It needs to be smoother for this app to be more effective. Also, there are no instructions on how to use the app or what any of the onscreen buttons do. This is a basic need of any app and it is sadly missing. I would have given 5 stars had these suggestions been implemented in the first place. Developer was very quick to email me instructions and mentioned he would try to improve AI smoothness.
Doesnt work Quite Smoothly for Instrument Training.
Airspeed can go below 0kts on indicator as well as beyond 250kts. Pitch control isnt smooth enough to hold level flight. Altimeter is Primary Pitch straight and level, yet is too sensitive in pitch to accurately hold level altitude. Once you bury the nose high or very low, unable to recover pitch. Turns great. Needs more refinement. Thanks!
Boooooring realy
It is realy boring,,,,,,, x-plane trainer much more better,,,, and the best thing its free so you wont have to waste youre dollar on it if you dont like it,,,,, and if you enjoy xplane then Im telling you not to get this ifr app...........................................................................................................................................................................
IFRScan DOESNOT HAVE A IMAGE THATS WHY IT IS SO BORING UNLIKE THE X-PLANE THAT DO HAVE A IMAGE AND REALY YOU CAN LAND AND TAKEUP!,,!,!.?.!!-@/):?:&,!:@-$/);&,:$/@- excep that the other x plane apps is opensive....
Great learning tool
I didnt like this much at first. I found it to be too sensitive and hard to control. After playing with it a little it got better and I remembered back to my ftd training. Those things were extremely sensitive and hard to control, but they make you a better pilot. Same us true with this. You almost cant fly this without a good scan.
It isnt a toy like xplane (although I do like xplane) so dont expect it to be fun or exciting. It is a learning tool.
The one thing Id like to see is the ability to do partial panel. A vac failure would be great.
I use this fairly often to stay sharp on my instrent skills, and I have found it to be very valuable.
